Fee Structure for GP Visits
Brookland Medical Centre is a Mixed billing GP Practice. Our fee structure for GP visits is as follows:
Fully bulk-billed for:
- Children under 16
- Pension Card, DVA Card, and Health Care Card Holders
- Visits related to Chronic Disease Management Plans (Care Plans)
Face-to-Face GP Consultation Fees
- Short Consult (less than 5 minutes): $45
- Standard Consult (5-15 minutes): $65
- Standard Consult (15-20 minutes): $75
- Long Consult (20-30 minutes): $110
Telephone Consultation Fees
- Short Consult (less than 6 minutes): $45
- Standard Consult (6 minutes or more): $65

Policy at Brookland Medical Centre
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. If you can't make your appointment, please notify us at least 2 hours before the scheduled time so we can assist other patients. If less than 2 hours' notice is given, a $20 late notice fee will apply. Failure to attend without notice will result in a missed appointment fee of $35.
Bulk-Billing Eligibility
At Brookland Medical Centre, we offer convenient bulk-billing consultations for the following eligible groups:
- Children under 16 years of age
- Holders of valid DVA, Healthcare cards, and Pension cards
- Health assessments
- Visits associated with Care Plans:
- GP Management Plan
- GP Management Plan Review
- Team Care Arrangement
- Team Care Arrangement Review

Non-Medicare Rebatable Consultations
Please be aware that certain consultations are billed privately and are not eligible for Medicare rebates. These include:
- Pre-employment Medical Assessment and Related Investigations
- Pre-Travel Consultation
- Driver Licence Medical (Private and Commercial)
- Dangerous Goods Licence Medical
- Fitness for Duty Assessment
- Lawyer's Medical Reports
- Insurance Medical Reports
Please note that certain procedures may incur out-of-pocket expenses.
Bedside Investigations and Bulk Billing
For your convenience, bedside investigations are fully bulk-billed at Brookland Medical Centre. This includes:
- Urine Pregnancy Test
- Urinalysis (Urine Dip Stick Test)
- Random Blood Glucose (Finger Prick Test)

Administration Fee Notice
